The Maritime Museum project inspired us to delve into the history of Halifax, NS and the golden age of sail. As a group we thought it important to reference the industrial nature of the shipping industry. With this goal in mind the museum we designed was comprised of a series of buildings which are flexible in their use. The use of natural light was incorporated to provide spaces appropriate for detailing and repairing boats or for viewing exhibits.
