The Marine pavilion is situated at Skaw beach on a northernly point of Unst. Skaw beach is an area that features high potential for all of the sub-typologies associated with marine life viewing. The sub-typologies include Whales/Dolphins, Sharks, Otters, and Seals. These sub-typologies are best viewed from the ocean. The two marine pavilions are both situated in order to direct the observer down the cliffs and down onto the water where these creatures are best viewed.
